All of us here at The Hong Kong Association of New York hope you are having a wonderful summer.  While you are relaxing, there are few events that we would like you to mark on your calendars:


1.  August 2, 2005: A Conversation with Paula DeLisleOn Wednesday, August 2nd, The HKANY will host an informal Conversation with Paula DeLisle, Vice President, International Practice Leader, Asia Pacific for Watson Wyatt Worldwide (NYSE: WW).  Watson Wyatt is a global consulting firm specializing in human capital and financial management.  A flyer with details will be sent out to you shortly.  This "Conversations with ...." program will feature a boxed lunch courtesy of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and will be held at the Hong Kong Offices at 115 East 54th Street, NY, NY 10022.


2.  August 13-14, 2005: The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York.  The largest multi-cultural Festival in New York!!

With over 100 teams and 1,000+ participants competing from around the World, this Year we celebrate the "Year of the Rooster." This much anticipated world-class, multi cultural event features two exciting days of Dragon Boat Racing, wonderful performances and an international food court. Attendance is Free for the entire family - Come Rain or Shine.

3.  September 27-28, 2005: 2nd Annual Asian Private Equity Forum

4.  October 12, 2005: Hong Kong Night at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln CenterOn Wednesday, October 12, 2005, The Hong Kong Association of New York will co-present the Hong Kong Chinese Symphony Orchestra in concert.  The orchestra's performance format and repertoire reflect its Chinese cultural roots.  It has a repertoire that includes both traditional folk music and contemporary full scale works, exemplifying the Orchestra's mission of exploring new frontiers in music and experimenting with new techniques and styles. 


The Association's involvement in this special event will include a special event package which will make available orchestra tickets and a pre-concert buffet at Shun Lee West at a substantial discount to scheduled pricing.  Full details will be made available shortly.
